How to Apply for Dual Citizenship in Kenya

The application process for dual citizenship is straightforward and involves the following steps:

  1. Create a Login Account: Start by creating an account on the Government of Kenya Single Sign-On portal.
  2. Access the eFNS Portal: Log in using the credentials from your created account to access the eFNS portal.
  3. Submit Your Application: Once logged in, click the "Apply Now" link and select the "Submit Applications" tab. Choose the "Dual Citizenship" option.
  4. Follow Notifications: After submitting your application, you will receive automatic notifications via email and your online account regarding the progress of your application.

Note: Incomplete applications will not be accepted. Additionally, application printouts must be presented at the Immigration Headquarters in Kenya or at Kenya missions abroad.

  • A printed online application form 3 (obtained after completing your application online)
  • Two passport-size photographs
  • Copy of birth certificate
  • Copy of Kenyan passport

  • Copy of a police clearance certificate
  • Parent’s copy of Kenyan passport or ID
